For sure D next American Idol is going to David. But will it be sweet crooner David Archuleta or emo rocker David Cook? It's going to be a good tight fight in the finale....it will go down to preference of the voting public…the two are very,very different. It's going to be a Hit VS. Hit, i would love to see them performing IMAGINE and HELLO.

I would be shocked if DC doesn’t win, definetely more consistent and flexible although I will never forget DA’s Imagine. DC caught my attention with his rocked out version of HELLO followed with Eleanor rigby, billie jean, always be my baby and his previous performance I Don't want a miss a thing w/c was the best of the night, aerosmith songs are freaking hard to do but he actually nailed it. LSS na toh!

I was rooting for Parvati from the start, so congrats to her!

I’m glad I rooted for Parv on this season. Amanda’s right. She and Parv played completely different games. She played loyal, while Parv did anything that she needed to do to take control. A lot of the jury members may not like her, but that doesn’t mean they don’t respect her game. SHE WAS INDEED PLAYING TO WIN.

Ozzy's statements were extremes. He was too bitter and angry at Parvati then all of a sudden all soft and mushy with Amanda.

Poor Erik… always going to be known as the guy that made the dumbest move ever in Survivor. How much would that suck being such a big fan of the show?

I am impressed with each one of them. Thanks for a great season, Survivor.Survivor Micronesia is indeed one of the best seasons ever... see you next season!

oh btw..Survivor Season 17 will be back in Africa at Gabon.. Survivor Gabon: Earth's Last Eden and for the first time the entire story will be shot in HD... USTV will not going to use analog TV next year.

Alicia Keys Live in Manila

for the 2nd time around

Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Alicia Keys makes her return to Manila as she invades Araneta Coliseum once again this 2008.

The comeback concert, to be produced by MTV Philippines and Music Management International, and will be on August 5 at the big dome.

Alicia Keys is the one behind popular hits such as “Fallin”, “You Don’t Know My Name”, “If I Ain’t Got You”, “Diary”, and “My Boo”. Her latest album “As I Am” has also given way to popular songs like “No One” and “Like You’ll Never See Me Again“.

Aside from Grammys, she has been recognized by other award-giving bodies such as Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, among others. She has also sold more than 25 million albums around the globe as of last year.

This is not going to be Alicia’s first visit to Manila. Her last concert at the Araneta Coliseum was held sometime in October 2004.

FINALLY! Somebody used the G–DAMN idol.... Whewww! Now, THAT was exciting!

Ms. Body Beautiful, given the fortune of Exile by Natalie utilized her time wisely while there searching for clues to the location. VERY Nice.

Amanda had the advantage of advance knowledge of plans to kick her off the island. And with that knowledge, she became fortified to FIND THE IDOL!!! I told myself while watching the voting take place, if Amanda is acting (she appeared pretty distressed) she deserves an EMMY. I believed that she HAD to have found it. But, wasn’t certain. I thought, if this girl is acting, GREAT JOB!

I loved James’ expression following the IDOL reveal! So sorry about his show-ending injury. Just like Jonathan. Not a good season for these 2 returning FAVORITE guys. But James liked Amanda & was happy to see her survive. Jason grinned heartily at the IDOL revelation by Amanda & Ozzy smiled.I'm still giggling every time I see Eliza making someastonishing reactions at the tribal council.Her eyes are really acting and protruding like she's in a labyrinth full of naked lads.

Kristy Lee Cook is eliminated

i really hate what ryan did about the swapping.

She worked hard to stay in the game, and no matter how many times she made the B3, she took it without turning into a blubbering mess like a couple of other contestants I could name. She shed a few tears when she was finally eliminated, but I think she earned them. I found her serenade to Simon during her sing out quite hilarious too.

Kristy Lee Cook got engaged Wednesday night.

Although I think Kristy improved over the past few weeks, what I loved about her the most was her attitude. She was determined without being desperate and even though I’m sure some of the comments hurt, she handled it with some wit and laughs publicly. It gave her a bit of a shield and earned her some respect. She seems like a nice kid.


With her pretty looks and decent voice, I expect Kristy will be scooped up by any country record deals.

I am still shocked that michael got voted off last night. I thought for sure it would be syesha when you look at the bottom 3. I think ryan tricked us at all.
I totally think it was wrong what Ryan Seacrest did last night too making it sound like it was going to be a re-cap of last year where no one was sent home on "Idol Give's Back" week. I didn't think that michael was safe when he said carly and syesha's names. it's the bottom 3, one contestant is eliminated all the time.


Top 7 finalists (Brooke White, Carly Smithson, David Archuleta, David Cook, Jason Castro, Kristy Lee Cook and Syesha Mercado) will return to the Idol stage to perform songs by Mariah Carey.

MJ, Syesha and Carly are in trouble. KLC was superb!!! she really has a staying power. DC's innocent wasn't bad at all, we'll na lang on the studio version of this song. JC's performance was really fantastic! Brooke White took the pimp spot and i liked it her song choice should've made by JC,but it's okay coz he pulled it off over the rainbow.Diva archuleta chose Angels, a british original song from robbie williams, wothout a question one of the best performances of the night. Just wondering, they never put archuleta on the danger spot w/c is the first performer hmmm.. Syesha's believe was better than lakisha's performance. I actually liked it. She keeps taking on these songs that are so identified with another singers though, that's what's gonna kill her. She was not given great merits because of the comparison. I find Fantasia's voice irritating because of her scratchy wails which sometimes hurt my ears, but what made her incomparable to other singers is that she sang it with great wave of emotion and the connection was invincible. But i still like Syesha's version...love the tone of her voice. It had full control upon singing it and i loved that falsetto she put in the song.Unfortunately, she is underrated and not very likable. Michael Johns opened the show with dream on, an original from Aerosmith and i didnt like it, ha ha ha he's on the danger spot being first performer is very risky. And carly smithson with The show must Go On, for me it was good but not WOW!

i always look forward to seeing ramiele perform every week. there is always that question of whether she would finally deliver or suck again. she sucked again last night and apparently, america's tired of her sucking. but at least, she is gonna be part of the tour.

but i still wish klc and syesha, or even carly, would have gone before her.

2 Icons Makes Billboard Chart History

Mariah and Madonna,passes Elvis in the Billboard charts record book this week.

As expected, Mariah Carey moves past Elvis Presley for second place for most No. 1s in billboard, as Touch My Body soars 15-1 on the Billboard Hot 100 to become her 18th chart-topper. With her album "E=MC2" yet to hit the stores, Carey might equal the Beatles' record of 20 No. 1s before her set runs its course. Her previous Album released 5 singles (im not sure for this) and 4 made it to number 1.

Madonna surpasses Elvis with her 37th top 10, 4 Minutes to save the World. The track, which features Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, jumps from 68 to number 3 spot... wheeewww! that's HUGE!!!

Mariah is going to appear on Idol making her as mentor (Mariah Week) prior to the release of her album. I just dunno of the theses 2 icons will be releasing their album in the same week.

I'm not yet sure if same week ang release ng album nila... it's exciting if that would happen.

4 minutes to save the world

Collaborations, the good kind, can really be an exciting endeavor to witness. I think this track is going to make some noise in the billboard. 4 Minutes is Madonna's first collabo with JT, under the former's upcoming album 'Hard Candy' due sometime April. Let's just say I'm hoping that the rest of the tracks will be better. listen here, lover.

HMMM... we'll see in the upcoming weeks.. season 4 still the best for me.... over 50% who made it to the top 24 were recycled, some them released a major record deal went nothing just like a floppy bubblegum and the others auditioned for at least 2-3x except for ramielle and some semis.

Idol Heats Up!!

Now the real race on becoming the next American Idol has commenced with Fox announcing its top 24 contestants very soon. And with that, it's time to predict who's got game and start picking your bets. (Last year, I predicted Blake Lewis to win, and he took home the 2nd place. While in Season 4 i predicted carrie underwood after hearing I cant make you love as her audition piece and in season 5 chris daughtry was my top choice. So, you see, I have the power. Don't believe me?I've got my eye (and ear) invested on the following talented Idol contenders here. Starting with adorable David Archuleta. Although I don't think you'll see him at the finale, I believe he'll surely charm his way thru the show trying. And with that clear complexion and puppy green eyes, America will show some love.
